Folara is built for personal saving and retrieval, not for public sharing by default. Your library stays tied to your account unless you choose to take it elsewhere through export.
Exportable by design
Portable export is part of the product, not a hidden escape hatch. You can keep a Markdown plus JSON copy of your library in formats that stay usable outside Folara.
Deletion and account control stay visible
Account deletion and export live in the product settings so they are easy to find. The product treats deletion as a deliberate user action, not a maze.

Text-first product
Folara is designed around links, notes, snippets, posts, references, and related source text. It is not trying to store everything or turn into a catch-all workspace.
Related items stay selective
Related items exist to reconnect nearby work when there is enough signal to do it well. The product is intentionally careful about surfacing weak or noisy matches.
AI use stays limited
Deterministic capture, normalization, search, and organization stay primary. Selective AI processing is there to improve related items where it helps, not to make the core save flow depend on opaque automation.
